Planning before a wedding

Today I’ve to go to a wedding. It is after ages that our family has been invited for a wedding. I love weddings for just 1 reason ie free food.

This time I’ve decided that I’ll not get swayed by the cuisines. The mistake I did in the past weddings I’ve attended is of picking up a dish and loading it with things I like. You do it the same way probably. But there is 1 problem with this approach. By the end of your whole circle of the food arena, you are left regretting of filling your dish a bit too much with the things you mildly like vs the things that you really like which were at the later end of the circle.

This time I won’t commit this mistake. The only way to not commit this mistake is to plan it better. First take a good long round of all the things on offer without a dish in your hand just to explore all that’s on offer. Then after this round, decide in your head what all needs to be put on your dish and in what quantity.

Now you’re ready for your wedding meal which you won’t regret. This approach will not only help you prevent overeating but also help reduce the overall wastage of food. There’s tonnes of good quality food that gets wasted in every indian wedding which could well be used to fill many more empty stomachs.

Whenever something is free, don’t exploit it. Remember someone somewhere is always paying for it. When it comes to something like food, I hope you eat responsibily and not waste the food that could have filled a poor person’s stomach.

Free food is great but only until it makes you waste food.

Eat responsibily! Maybe then God will bless your family with many more wedding invitations.
