Is it good or bad to be an introvert?

Firstly, I’m an introvert. I really struggle to make new friends. I prefer keeping my feelings to myself. I don’t share with anyone when I’m sad. I don’t know if all this is good or bad. But this is how being an introvert is.

I’m really difficult to understand. You can’t get things out of me until I decide to let them out. So I’m that person who can easily keep your secrets safe.

There are several downsides as well that I’ve to face. The other person usually doesn’t know how I feel about anything and hence noone really cares. Being an introvert makes it increasingly difficult to talk to strangers. Though my work demands this from me.

I’m constantly trying to counter the downsides by talking to strangers (say street vendors ) and indulge in a candid conversation.

Being an introvert makes me a pro at privacy. Noone knows my plans, neither does anyone know my insecurities. But I’ve to put a lot of effort in countering the downsides.

So being an introvert is neither too good not too bad.

You need to strive for the right balance.

Something known as an ambivert.

Importance of aura (micro blog)

Aura is the energy one carries around oneself. It’s what others feel as soon as you enter the room. It’s that breeze that people can feel when you are around.

Aura is actually a scientific phenomenon which defines it as electro magnetic waves around oneself. These waves can’t be seen through naked eyes but they do exist.

I personally believe in the concept of Aura. There have been people whom I look upto, who carry a breeze of fresh air along themselves. I have felt this.

I could feel this breeze whenever I met my last school principal. I could feel her confidence just by the way she walked. The aura around her made her the leader that she was.

I really wonder how can one build that aura around oneself. Probably by doing the right thing always and not being scared of anything. Walking like a lion out on his evening hunt. Eyes filled with confidence. Chest filled with air of optimism.

This is all I could think of. I try to put them to practice as much as possible. You should do the same.

Try and carry a fresh breeze of air around yourself to everywhere you go.

Made in India vs Make for India (micro blog)

Firstly, what’s the basic difference between make in India vs Make for India?

Make in India stands for making goods and services in India then selling it across the globe. While make for India stands for making products and services for selling in the Indian market.

Now you would ask, how does it matter if we make it for the whole world or just for India? It matters a lot. As when we make for the whole world, we ensure to make the best quality products. But if we want to make just for the Indian market then it is crucial to keep the price down which may even involve cutting down on quality.

Our present government is focused more on make in India . Which is the right approach in a way. As urging global companies to set up manufacturing units in India would increase employment in our country which would result in better per capita income. This would help the Indian domestic market mature and ready to pay for high quality goods.

Let’s not settle for low price low quality goods.

For this we’ll have to support make in India first which would then help fuel make for India.

How to think out of the box? (micro blog)

This is a very popular question. Something that everyone wants to know. How to go about thinking out of the box?

After googling and thinking about this. This is the answer I came up with-

Remove the box.

The fact that you want to think outside of the box means that you know you are thinking inside of a box. You know this box exists. You know you have created limitations on your thinking and imagination.

Now, simply try to recognise these limitations and remove them.

But that isn’t as simple in practice. So here is an activity you can indulge in to remove this box.

Whenever you get time, make your brain think of the impossible. Like Elon Musk is trying to solve traffic by digging tunnels beneath the road. Could you ever even think of such a solution ?

Try and think about the impossible. Like how can you reach Delhi from Mumbai in the blink of an eye. Sounds impossible. But try and think for ways how this can be made possible.

Once you start researching and thinking about the impossible. You’ll start to realize how vast the possibilities are.

So if you want to think out of the box then remove the box by thinking about how can we collaborate with aliens👽

How to communicate effectively? (micro blog)

Communication is a very important skill. I am not a very effective communicator myself. But I know how to get the point across in the least amount of words.

Effective communication can only take place when you tailor what you have to say as per the listener.

Like i communicate with street vendors then I also have to communicate with high profile business corporates. The style of communication while talking to both these categories of people is vastly different.

With street vendors I’ve to talk in hindi while business corporates get to listen to my wierd English accent.

Also, there are some high profile business corporates who don’t know English that well. So if you start throwing your English at them. They won’t get any of it and hence show no interest in what you are saying.

This is for you to see whether he/she understands English better or hindi.

Besides the language of communication. Your hand and eye movements while you speak are extremely crucial. Your eyes should go big when you make a an important point. Your hands should convey authority over what you’re talking about.

The last and the most important is to make the listener feel that you want the listener to benefit from this conversation. You have to ensure that you don’t seem selfish while communicating. Tell the listener that you want them to win. Tell them that you care.

Effective communication is a seriously difficult skill to master. This is just an account of what I try to do while communicating but there is obviously so much more to it.

Just try to do this by the trial and error approach and I assure you’ll get better each time you communicate with anyone.

Why is it a holiday when someone important dies? (micro blog)

You must be wondering why do they gift me a holiday whenever someone important dies?

I mean why can’t you let me be sad about it. Why give me a reason to celebrate when I should be mourning the loss of an important individual.

Having been a big fan of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s style of politics and writings. I was actually pretty sad at his demise. But then my younger cousin called and told me how happy he was for the holiday.

I told him brother, this holiday is given to you so that you can cry at peace at your home. Go cry now.

Then he asked me for the logic behind this holiday.

I googled and called him back.

So it turned out that whenever a person who had a massive following among people dies. It is declared a holiday for students on the day after the death.

It is because there are high chances of mad followers doing riots to vent off their sadness (😒). Yeah such people do exist in our country.

Remember Padmavati..err…Padmavat

So it is only safe to keep students at home. This is the reason why they make students happy when they should be sad.

Nevermind, use that day productively and try to know more about the person that died and try to cry a bit.

Mother vs father (micro blog)

Whom should I listen ask me to do opposite things?

Like say for eg your father wants you to take science and become an engineer while your mother wants you to take humanities and prepare for civil services.

Now whom do you listen to in such a case?

None.

The only thing you need to listen here is your heart. This is something that’ll determine your career. You need to ensure it is something of your interest and not something that’ll be a burden.

Now you ask, alright but tell me whom should I support when there is fight between my father and mother (on any random issue) ?

Now this is a more interesting question to answer. But I play a bit selfish in these fights and support my mum for she saves me whenever my father gets angry on me.

If I don’t my mum in her difficult time (fight) then she may may not save me the next time I’m under fire.

When it comes your life decisions, ensure that you take the final call and not your mother or father and when it comes to supporting one in fight, then try and make some brownie points by supporting the person who can help in your hard times.

Kidding!, try to resolve the fight in the most logical way possible. For you never know they might team up against you if they see you tryna play it smart.

Ethics over success (micro blog)

There have been several instances of companies giving ethics a backseat for profit maximization.

… When General Motors Co. kept building cars with an ignition switch that shut down the car, causing it to suddenly stop and the airbags to fail?

… When Wells Fargo & Co. created checking, savings, and credit card accounts that customers never authorized?

.. I can go on and on quoting instances of companies not giving a shit for ethics.

But is this all justified? Is this all required to get success?

No, not.at.all. All of the above malpractices could be avoided. The maximum that it would have caused is failure.

But isn’t failure is a part of success?

If that is so, then the maximum it would have caused is a delay in success.

In my view success delayed is much better than success faked by using ill-practices.

Die vs cry (micro blog)

A person cries when he/she is in a very sad state of mind. Crying has scientifically proven to make one feel better.

So in this battle of die vs cry. Cry wins every time. Because crying gives you the opportunity to cry again but death doesn’t.

Your eyes will always have sufficient water to help you vent off your sadness. Crying may feel extremely bad, which is obvious but after death one can’t feel anything.

Crying is confronting your problems, your worries while death is running away from them.

Crying may feel like a 100 deaths but death doesn’t really feel anything.

Cowards are not those who cry. Cowards are those who choose to end their lives when they could have done with crying.

And yes, I’ll just plug this in here. Crying doesn’t make a MAN less manly. Only a true man can accept his worries and cry over them.

So it’s better to cry over and over and over again than to die and have GAME OVER flashing on your life screen.

Perfume vs deodorant (micro blog)

Firstly, what’s the difference between the two?

Deodorants make you sweat less while perfumes make you smell better.

Deodorants are applied directly while perfumes are mostly applied over clothes.

Both are made of more of less the same chemicals.

But what should I apply???

Apply a deodorant and carry a perfume.

Deodorant will help you sweat less but is effective only for a certain period of time. So carrying a perfume ensures you never smell bad.

Lastly let’s answer an even elementary question:

Is it necessary to smell good. I mean all of us have a body odour, we all sweat. Why can’t we be at peace with it?

Yes, it is necessary to smell good. Agree, we all smell bad naturally after sweating but noone likes a bad smell. Especially if it is coming out of someone else’s body.

How you smell forms a big part of what impression you make on the people you meet.

Although, I personally forget applying a deodorant mostly. But I try my best to not forget something as important as the smell of myself.

So ensure you smell good. If you don’t then-

“YOU STINK”
