Is owning a car sensible? (Micro-blog)
In the age of uber and ola, is it really sensible to own a car.
Firstly,to own a car one should know how to drive a car, so you pay for learning how to drive. Then you spend lakhs upfront on buying a car then you need to find a parking space for it then you need to spend on insuring the car then on mantainance.
Also isn’t it better to sit on the back seat and work on your laptop than to honk while sitting on the driving seat. A cab is so much more productive and efficient.
If your cab gets stuck in a traffic jam, you can simply walk out of the cab and leave. Can you do this with your own car?
If you commute using a cab, you never have to pay for parking and neither do you have to spend hours looking for a parking space.
A personal car is just a liability. It depreciates with time.
Owning a car has never been a more ridiculous idea than it is now.
I think you have no option but to agree with all the logic I just gave against owning a car.
But are you willing to sell off your car.
If not, why?
