You are luckier than you think.

It’s very often that I get to hear people complaining about their luck not being good enough. I agree that some have a better luck than others but that doesn’t mean you are not lucky enough.

The fact that you were not born in Hitler’s Germany, makes you lucky. You could have even born at the time of the great depression which would ensure that you can’t dream about your future. Or maybe if you were born in North Korea then noone would even ask you this common question that we get irritated by here in India- “What do you want to become?”, because in North Korea the government decides what profession you’ll get into. No career choice whatsoever.

Aren’t you lucky to be reading this on the internet. A place where all the knowledge in the world is condensed and constantly at your service. Imagine being born in 1960s, what would you do if a doubt popped up in your head- ask your teacher, if she doesn’t know then go to the library and scramble books for hours to get your doubt resolved. Who would do so much to resolve a doubt. Your parents did.

You need to start acknowledging the fact that you are lucky to be born at a time when we are not at war, and peace is loved. To not be born in such situations and eras is a blessing in itself.

You are luckier than the past generation which didn’t have the internet and also to the future generations that will be over dependent on robots and have little cognitive ability.

You are lucky to be born itself because you are just a +1 to the already going out of hand population. It would not really matter to the world if you never came to life.

It’s time you stop complaining about not being lucky. You have a free life, go all out and make the most of it.
