Is it ethically wrong to kill mosquito?

Most of us kill mosquito, we start clapping as soon as we hear buzzing sound. We don’t really think before killing but is it ethically right to kill mosquito?

Before we give a yes/no answer to this. Let’s first look at some facts. Mosquitos kill more people in a year than lion, tiger and shark combined. This is because mosquitos are very efficient at carrying germs and infection. Malaria, dengue and so many deadly diseases are caused because of mosquito bite.

It is not just humans who get killed but even animals. Mosquitos are equally deadly for dogs, cats, cows and many more animals.

Killing mosquito might feel bad to us humans but mosquitos don’t have any feelings. They just go on spreading infections and killing people.

Another important fact to considered here is that mosquitos have a short life span. If you don’t kill them, then the lizard in your house will.

We live with mosquitos without realising that this species has killed more people than any other species.

So next time when you get a chance, kill the mosquito before it kills you.
