Is abusing in english better than abusing in hindi ? (micro blog)
It was only after someone suggested me to write on this topic that I realised how legit it actually was. This is so true that I could verify it on myself. I pretty frequently use the f word but refrain from using any hindi abuses.
There is a reason behind this. Most of the hindi abuses involve a sister/mother. So essentially when you are angry at an individual, you vent off your frustration on his/her sister and not the individual him/herself. How does that make sense?
You are mad at someone then be mad at someone. Why get in their female relatives into the picture.
Another reason I found for not abusing in hindi is I can see the uneducated/low key people using hindi abuses and I don’t want to look uneducated like them. So what do I do- I use the English abuses (cooll right?) . I know how silly this sounds. But let’s accept it. This is also a reason for avoiding hindi abuses.
Lastly, we look upto the west. For every “fucking” thing. Abusing even.
If we see it closely, Indian movies / soaps don’t have use of any abusive language. But we are cooll peeps. We watch Netflix right. We watch FrIeNds. They pretty casually use the f word here there everywhere. So we replicate that, cuz we are cooll swagy peeps.
Fuck essentially means the same as “maadarcho*” . Oh and I already see you getting offended. I mean I used a star to write that hindi abuse but well that’s offensive. Did you take equal offense when I said “fuck” just 5 words before that hindi abuse. You didn’t, I’m sure.
All this is because you are WEIRD (Westernised.Educated.Intelligent.Rich.Donkey).
So yes abusing in english is less offensive than abusing in hindi.
