The right ratio of reading to writing (micro blog)

Reading is more of a necessity while writing helps you get clarity of thought.

Say you read a lot about Artificial Intelligence but then if I ask you to write an article on Artificial Intelligence, you’ll most probably not be able to do so. Writing about something requires a whole different level of understanding.

When you sit down to write something, you don’t directly start writing. First you go on the internet and read about it a bit. You start writing only once you think you have a fair understanding of the concept/topic.

Like even while writing these blogs, I first try and read an article or 2 before I start penning my thoughts down. This ensures you have a good time reading these blogs.

So reading is a necessity for everyone but if you want to write then you need to double the amount of reading.

So the right ratio of reading to writing in my opinion is 2:1

Read 2 words for each word you pen
